The complaint was lodged by her mother, 39‑year‑old Ramabai, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, who discovered her daughter absent after returning from work. According to the complainant, the girl left home sometime after 31 October. When Ramabai returned from her workplace on the morning of 1 November, she found that her daughter was not at home.
